To attain tonally true sound, every drum would have to be mounted in a floating point at the center of its shell. R2 Air equally balances mounting pressure across two floating points at the top and bottom of each tom. This gives true tonal separation from mounting hardware and enhances sonic output. All mounting hardware is isolated from the shell via the R2 Air’s four ResoDisc shock absorption inserts.
